The aluminum can be refined by heating the bauxite to drive off the oxygen. 2 Al2O3 ---> 4 Al + 3 O2 How much aluminum is produced from 4.40 x 10^3 kg of Al2O3::::::I got 2.3 x 10^3 which is correct. b) The oxygen produced in part (a) is allowed to react with carbon to produce carbon monoxide. Write a balanced equation describing the reaction of alumina with carbon: Al2O3 + 3 C----->2 Al + 3 CO WHERE I AM STUCK IS HERE!!!! How much CO is produced from alumina in part (a) I tried 1.90x10^3kg CO and its wrong :(
