Document Summary

The system is assumed to be in equilibrium. This is not always the case. stomatal resistance= resistance that stomata cause. Air movement, vertical mixing increases the efficiency of evaporation. Air movement just enhances evaporation, it doesn t cause it. Total evaporation peaks at noon, so we have moist soils in the morning and lower soils later on in the day. Lysimeter=has a pond of water, but different from pan evaporation. If it is windy, we have low resistance in qe. Look at problems we have, such as access issues, logistics, safety issues, manpower, equipment problems, safety issues, human interference, having site visits(surveys), as well as time management. Must consider seasonal changes, typical days, frequency of sampling(ie where, when, min/hr/day).
