Dorthy arzner: only one to make it into the talkies, out lesbian, wore male cloths, lived with her partner but had a number of affairs with actresses. Mary pickford: one of the most powerful women in hollywood, wanted to burn all her films once talkies appear. Nel shipmen: wote novel by the time she was 20, stared in the gods country and wrote the sequel back to gods country, constantly in a strougle with her husband (producer) Most women woking in these fields by 1930"s were no longer working.
