Ontario government"s 2010 corporate tax cut: 2. 4 billion dollars. Annual federal and provincial subsidies to the fossil fuel industry: Many countries have a free or virtually free post-secondary education. The liberal government proposed to raise the tuition by 75 percent over 5 years. Students voted in general assemblies for a unlimited strike that was conducted by the three student federations (classe, feuq, fecq) Students were on strike for 6 months. Students and community members held daily mass protests (casseroles)
