Case studies found on avenue focusing on real-life work/family conflict case studies. In our class discussions about the work-family conflict studies we saw that: work-family conflicts are easy to resolve, work-family conflicts rarely emerge, financial costs are the main factors an individual has to consider. There"s more than just financial factors to consider: there are financial and non-financial costs to giving up paid labour to be a caregiver. Costs go beyond financial sense of fulfillment etc: typically the pros of staying in the labour force far outweigh any cons of leaving the labour force. In our class discussions about the work-family conflict studies we saw that: If one leaves the labour force one loses income. If one leaves the labour force one loses income and also ei and cpp: usually life goes as planned without any surprises, the costs of childcare are not prohibitive to working parents.
