The role of the furies is to punish those with blood guilt. In theogony, the furies are born from kronos" blood after his castration. In the third play, they then go to the temple of athena: aristotle focuses on the unity of action. There is a rapid scene change from one city to another. There is clearly no set idea on place, but on action: mimesis and imitation: all these actions that take place is an imitation of action, the first speaker of eumenides is the prophetess of apollo. Earth, themis and phoebe are given special mention: phoebe is a titan. Apollo is her grandson: bromeus: noisy or boisterous, the priestess enters her temple and takes her seat on her throne. In all of the prologues of aeschylus, the characters are influenced by the first few lines: watchmen, orestes, and prophetess are the opening speakers of the trilogy, page 87: exchange between orestes and apollo.
