Disagree with stakeholder paradiam: firms has important social responsibilities. The reason we have to have a business ethics, the social ethics is too broader for business. Helps allay the suspicion that business ethics is some alien code, which ethicists seek to impose u pon corporations from the outside. He does not think put you on the position of a manager makes you conflict with morality. Moral practice: what he wants the manager to do, market failure model (on the end of this essay) He distinguishes a person work with job, from work with a profession. When you work with job, you have the obligation to work on your shift, be at the postiion in time. So, the obligations are specificied in a contract, in terms of employment. When you work with a profession, certain degree of trust is implict, because the responsibilities may cannot be completely stated out in the contract. That, the company must trust this profession al people.
