Science of the mind and behaviour the mind refers to mental processes and subjective experiences that make up one"s sensations, perceptions, memories, thoughts, motives, and emotions behaviours refers to all of one"s observable actions. The study of ourselves learning how we think, feel, develop, learn, love, interact,grow who we are thereapy is only one example of psychology applied psychology or clinical psychology. Philosophical foundation psychology is based on two greek words psyche meaning soul logos meaning word (or study of) psychology evolved to mean study of the mind. Before it became a science, greek philosophers like aristotle, plato, hippocrates, and socrates asked how we learn and remember, where knowledge comes from, among many other philosophical, yet psychology related questions. Innovation and technology, as well as new scienti c procedues in the 1800s led physiologists to make more discoveries - 1800s gave birth to experiments psychology.
