Among his scattered notebooks, the 20th-century austrian philosopher ludwig. In religion every level of devoutness must have its appropriate form of expression which has no sense at a lower level. This doctrine, which means something at a higher level, is null and void for someone who is still at the lower level; he can only understand it wrongly and so these words are not valid for such a person. 3) it is therefore easy to misconstrue the content and nature of religious faith/belief; Because it shows that there is an internal or necessary connection between action and doctrine, and perhaps the doctrine is not prior to the action, but expresses it. The various aspects just outlined do not directly match up against the dominant. Conception (except for #4) so wittgenstein"s conception and the dc are not obviously incompatible. But wittgenstein"s suggestion (ws) does seem to pull in a somewhat different direction.
