The summary of: a postcapitalist politics of dwelling: ecological humanities and. In addition, jane jacob also asserted that current pace of human development should recognize its impact on surrounding natural systems as inter-connectedness feature of development cycle should maintain sustainability in order to promote long-term development. Overall, this article tackles four crucial elements to optimize human development which four elements are as follows: necessity, surplus, consumption, and commons. Clear example is also provided by roelvink & gibson (2009), where human need for food and river could generate conflict which increase in protection of river can undermine agricultural efficiency. Secondly, surplus is depicted as one of the major problem in our society as many manufacturers tend to over-produce without recognizing its damage to the surrounding environment.
