Module 2: problem solving: from interpreting a social situation to a difficult math problem, psychologists are interested in understanding the strategies you use to solve problems to gain insight into human intelligence, deductive reasoning = come to a concrete conclusion based on a general idea; for example, if i tell you that it"s going to rain soon you would use deductive reasoning to determine that the ground will soon be wet, idea (cid:224) conclusion.
