Class involves your behaviour, your basic assumptions, how you are taught to behave, what you expect from yourself and others, your concept of the future, how you understand problems and solve them, how you think, feel, act. It determines our access to resources and opportunities. The starving in a foreign country are always more interesting than the starving who speak your language, who might want to eat at your table, find shelter n your house, or share your job. Mental health issues they strive for welfare. Impact of classism on individuals identity and self-esteem voice opportunities. Access to justice- impacted, if you can"t afford a good lawyer you will be represented poorly access to power- if you don"t have money you can"t have power freedom- it determines your freedom- the types of places you shop/live. Resource/means of production control: media control- the big networks choose the shows we see ect Undermining of class consciousness everyone wants to be middle class.
