If there"s a dark rock beside, it is less reflected (lower albeito), absorbs more energy and heats up and makes the snow pack melt more. If soil in system, if more p than e, water goes into: sponge and sucks up making soil wet: groundwater, run off in river, excess moisture. Soil acts like a y most streams end up in ocean. Ocean will evapo-transpire onto land, it will precipitate.
