can someone help me to figure out this problem?

Calculate the pOH and the pH of a solution in which 30.0 mL of 0.200 M HCl is added to 75.0 mL of 0.400 M NaOH.

 Calculate the pOH and the pH of a solution in which 15.5 mL of 0.100 M HCl is added 
to 25.0 mL of 0.150 M NaOH.

 I have been assigned to write a procedure with the following instructions: 

"Design a procedure to accomplish an assigned oxidation reaction. Find and cite one or more published procedures (other than your textbook) for similar alcohols to support your proposal. Your procedure must include the choice of an appropriate, selective oxidizing agent, how you would work-up the reaction, and a method to purify the product. Finally, what techniques would you use to confirm the identity of your product? Be specific, mentioning physical properties and appropriate diagnostic spectral data."

This is based on a scale of 130 mg alcohol starting material. 

"Write this like a technical synthetic procedure in your lab textbook (1-2 paragraphs to define Experimental Procedure and Characterization, with commentary on the reaction separate). Your procedure should be written to include the specific microscale equipment and characterization techniques."
