In the Sara Ahmed reading this week, she states: "Fear responds to that which is approaching rather than already here. It is the futurity of fear, which makes it possible that the object of fear, rather than arriving, might pass us by”.

Unpack what you think she means by this and try and provide an example of a constructed "media monster" that you might have encountered in a show/film/news/etc. that has been created to prompt this type of fear.
