Sangha: one of the three refuges/jewels of buddhism. A group of people living together for a certain purpose, broadly for any community of any community of people practicing buddhism as lay or ordained. Those in the sangha have to live according to the rule of the buddha which is sasana. They must accept that they are suffering and therefore they are sick. They should live together to overcome this sickness. The origins of the sangha are wandering monks who came together in the rainy season (vassa) for shelter. Monasteries are not to separate with the community because they depend on the community for sustenance. Vijnana: one of the five bundles of grasping fuels. The ability of the mind to perceive like basic awareness. These functions are carried out by the six senses- eyes, mind, ears, tongue, body, and nose. Samskara: constructing activities- part of the five bundles of grasping fuels. Consists of things about a person"s psychological profile.
