Cell membrane: lipid bilayer formed by 1) hydrophobic core (fatty acid tails) Phospholipid: glycerol molecule + phosphate + 2 fatty acid tails, amphipathic, since it has hydrophilic and hydrophobic parts. Phospholipid tail: hydrocarbon chain of 16 -18 carbons, can have unsaturated/ saturated bonds.
