Orbital control + glaciation: earth orbits sun in ellipse and some factors contribute to how much solar insolation the earth will receive: Orbital eccentricity: departure of earth"s elliptical orbit from circular shape - influences solstices/equinox. Axial precision: change in orientation of earth"s rotational axis bc of pull of sun and moon. Glacial landforms: result from erosion by ice/meltwater and deposition. Drumlins: elongated hill in shape of inverted spoon by advance of glacier. Moraines: ridges/mounds of glacial material deposited close to ice margin - uneven topography.
