Very debateable, one might see something as harmful while one may see as healing. Health is not just this biological phenomenon. Our common perception of illness is either healthy or ill. When we think about wellbeing, health implies someone who is physically well with needs met: employment and housing fundamental concepts. We imagine race is purely objective biological category: race is social, constructed category (like gender roles), not natural (always changing) Health and illness cannot be separated from power (system of knowledge explain world) We know illness is unpleasant and no one craves it. Health studies uses social skills to improve health: critically, challenge the truth, recognizes non-professionals (lay people) are their own experts.
