Possibility that patients who agree to participate in a trial may differ from those to whom the results would be applied (generalizability) Questions about the cause of a health problem or disease. Rct: participants are randomly allocated to be or not to be exposed to a potential causative agent and then followed up to compare the number in each group who experience the outcome. Rct or cohort analytic studies may be feasible.
