Inferior tibio-fibular joint: ligaments here very wide and theres a ligament that runs between front and back. Inter-osseis membrane which connects the tibia and bula continuous to ligaments: stabilizes tibia and bula to maintain their grip on the talus. A syndesmosis of three ligaments ending in itfl : anterior inferior tibio-fibular ligament, posterior inferior tibio-fibular ligament, inter-osseis inferior tibio-fibular ligament. Sub-talar joint under the talus joint between talus and calcaneus: talus bone notes: has head and neck which articulates with the navicular. Tubercles (2) attachment points in the ankle: calcaneus bone notes: Sustentaculum tali sustains or supports the talus as it sits on top of the calcaneus and is attachment point for other ligaments. Calcaneal tuberosity connects the calcaneal/ achilles tendon. Talus motion as we plantar- ex the talus will slide forward. #1: as we dorsi ex talus slides backwards, during the plantar exion the itfj will narrow and will widen during dorsi exion.
