Meaning: ambiguous or quibbling speech; suck the meaning out of the words next to them. Words that attach to other words and empty them of their meaning without leaving any visible traces of the operation using words to say something you don"t mean. Why use weasel words? intended to deceive or draw attention away from something the speaker doesn"t want emphasized. We are so used to seeing them that we no longer notice them. Weasel terms are the equivalent of spin in the political sphere weasel words able to take away/pervert the meaning of the word without leaving traces e. g. used by theodore roosevelt and f. a. More people than ever are using. (what does that mean in numbers) Tries to make the reader complete these predicates to check validity or lack thereof. Did you ask 100 and choose the ones you wanted? who are these individuals? the subject is left unknown (it, doctors", etc)
