PEACEST 1A03 Final: Is Universal Health Care a Matter of Peace?

56 views1 pages

Document Summary

I do think that universal health coverage (uhc) can be a matter of peace. I agree with the three goals of the world health organisation"s (who) definition of uhc. Secondly, i will refute two of the libertarian"s base arguments. Finally, i will describe why i think that uhc is a matter of peace. The three goals of the who when defining uhc were equality in the healthcare system, adequate care to improve health and protecting from financial risk. Equality in healthcare is just as important as equality in anything else. No one person deserves healthcare over another and a person"s right to healthcare should not depend on their income. If someone receives the healthcare that they need, you would expect that healthcare to improve their health. Often, incomplete or improper medical treatment can result in a condition worsening.
