Two questions: do we have meaningful political equality in. Elite theory argument: modern democratic society: can we have meaningful political equality in. When we see the political process we see that it is structured in. Historically, society has been divided into two - those who rule and those who are ruled. Elite theory asks the question of why this has been the case and whether this inequality is an inescapable element of human society. To sum: for classical elite theorists, the divide between the two is an inevitability in any society such a way that some individuals are capable of being much more influential then others: why is this the case? (wealth?) Image (leaders of political parties): commonalities between them. All men, all middle aged, all well educated, all upper middle income or above. Where all individuals have equal say in the political process.
