Question 1) apply the dialectical approach to one of the documentaries. This is what i wrote on the first midterm and i got perfect on the short answer! I used the exact same summary as yours but i"ll change it up. Dialectical approach in sociology looks at a relationship, phenomenon, issue that depend on each other in order to function. In other words there are two variables in this relationship x and y. Y, and y affects x mutually but not necessarily equally. These type of relationships cannot be understood without studying both x and y. One of the dialectical relationships is micro vs macro. Micro level looks at small-scale interactions between individuals, such as conversation of group dynamics. Macro level looks at large-scale processes such as social stability and change. In other words, it looks at the relationship between an individual and the society. A situation of an individual cannot be understood without observing the situation of the society.
