You have unknowingly or naturally drifted into consumption having this goods and activity. We see that according to cavel, that women focus on what they own rather than what they do, feel, etc. We need to criticially analyse everything in the media. Corporate exploitation: profits that corporate are making, eg. Illusion of speed,power and control is substitute for self-confidence. Young men trying to have attention and fame. Technology can be addictive: can be good and bad. We have to challenge the corporations not to dominate our lives. Young people aren"t so great when it comes to money. Cavel believes that you should have financial education. Dollar to keep, dollar to give, dollar to treat. We couldn"t make and encourage adolescence politically active. If society is building more prisons than schools, there something is wrong.
