Developmental psychology: this is the scientific study of age-related changes (gains and declines) in behaviour, physical ability, thinking, emotion, and personality. It seeks to understand how and why people of all ages and circumstances change or remain the same over time. In developmental psychology, researchers use the scientific method while doing any research. Five (plus 1) basic steps of the scientific method: begin with curiosity and pose a question, develop a hypothesis, test the hypothesis, draw conclusions, report the results, replication.
