Behaviouralism: observable behaviour with no reference to mental events or instincts. Believe in experience and not genetics, believes strongly in environmental factors affecting a persons behaviour. Humanistic psychology: says that each person is free, has free will, and rational thoughts. This is what makes us fundamentally different than animals.
