Creation of these tribunals was very unique because it was the first time that individuals rather than states were held accountable rather than the state. It was the first time some crimes were prescribed and it was the first time for the criminal procedure quotes . Nuremberg tribunal: tried 22 defendants, major war criminals, those crimes for those individuals were spread all around the world, all but 3 were found guilty, 12 sentenced to death.
