There are a number of decisions that chad has to make to for his daily operations to run effectively. The first is to prioritize between custom production and line production. This would involve delegating resources accordingly between the two of the production types. Time must be distributed accordingly between the two types of production and that decision must be made by chad. He must also determine different factors like scope, flexibility, demand & quality of his product. For example, how big a project can be in terms of custom production or line production. Also, the flexibility of either production line must also be determined. Custom production has a high degree of flexibility since he piece is handcrafted while line production does not. Another factor is the demand of each product. Currently the majority the demand and profit margins come from custom production of wood pieces while line production also has a fairly significant chunk of sales as well.
