Sociology is a way of seeing the social world; odd in the familiar & general. Way to make connections between the general and different public issues. Invented the thoughtful person to think about society and their place in society. Way of seeing connection between the individual and society, society can impact the individual and vice versa. Connection between biography and history, connection between the individual"s story and the story of the society which they live. Not about denying free will but the choices we make are influenced by the society we live in. Sets of truths and knowns that have already been set. Body of knowledge that does not require research to figure out theories than paradigms because theories are how and why different facts are related whereas paradigms are sets of truths and knowns. Sees the social world as real, regardless if you want to accept the impact of society.
