Rich had the ability to control jobs and the wages of the jobs of the people, use the system to make more money and pass the money down to children. Not much opportunity for the poor, no free mass public education, private schools have been around. Canada is not able for everyone to get what they deserve. Few people still today own means of production. Marx only talks about only economic structure and leaves out race, social class, you can get grants and scholarships but on an individual level but on a broader scale it is more challenging.
