The evaluator does not make any judgments about the performance of the person being evaluated. E. g. task times: discuss two ways that an evaluation method can be subjective. E. g. explanation through words based on their feelings and emotions. Requires an evaluator to make a judgment call about the performance about someone being evaluated. Quantitative data: data explained through numbers with predefined variables and measurements. Qualitative data: data that gathers user"s thoughts and observe interactions through explanation of words. The process for getting permission before conducting a design or usability intervention on a person. Heuristic evaluation: a usability inspection method that is used to see if an existing interface complies with specific design principles. Consist of 3-5 experts who work individually and they compare notes afterward.
