Sir richard owen- invented the term dinosaur. before skeleton was found: a jaw, partial hip, few other bits and pieces from- megalosaurus- theropod. Teeth, vertebrae, and limb bones- iguanodon-ornithopod ribs, shoulder girdles incomplete, small portion of skull, osteoderms from thyreophoran. Each of these 3 dinos shared unusual combo of anatomical traits, suggesting they were all more closely related to each other than any other dinos. Shared: teeth that grew in sockets, erect limbs- belong together in dinosauria: fearfully great, and lizzards. Camarasaurus: not largest but it is big like 11 feet. Sauropods include large dines: argentinosaurus: heaviest sauropod- some say 100 metric tons. tallest = giraffatitan 12 m tall long neck, long legs. Diploducus: 25 meter in length. longest complete sauropod skeleton. seismosaurus was even longer 40m. most of this and ^ length was accounted for skinny necks and tails.
