During the age of enlightenment, john locke said that an infant is like a tabula rasa or blank slate and that experiences mold the infants and their later stages into a unique individual. Rousseau beloved that newborns are endowed with innate sense of justice and morality that unfolds naturally as the child grows. He argued that parents should be responsive and receptive to their children"s needs.
