The formation of bubbles took a while to begin being produced (slow reaction), but after around 5 minutes, large gas bubbles were moving towards the upper extremity of the eudiometer. The zinc stayed at the bottom of the eudiometer in the 5-dram vial, with small pieces of zinc floating up towards the upper portion of the eudiometer at times (once every 1-2 minutes). We had to flick the eudiometer so the zinc would return to the bottom portion of the eudiometer. Gas bubbles did not form very quickly (slow reaction), once they did form they floated to the top of the eudiometer.
