Women it is called the rest cure. Men are supposed to get up and do things and women were just supposed to do nothing and rest. Wister is like the narrator in some ways. Roosevelt and wister were alike because they were both physically weak. Wister went out to the west because roosevelt suggested this. He wrote about what the myths were about the west. Two people walking toward each other in showdown. Necessary to have this confrontation between good and evil.
