You must pick TWO of these questions and answer them with well-argued and coherent essays. The point of these essays is to put forward a good argument and to show the reader that you have read the texts very closely. Avoid superficiality; consider specific examples, cases and arguments. The length of these essays will depend heavily on your hand- writing. • Your essays should begin with a brief introduction & a clear thesis statement. You should also have a very short conclusion. 1. What is the significance of private property and wealth for Locke’s political theory? (You should read chapter 5 very closely. But also consider other things said by Locke about money, inheritance and property in the rest of the book). 2.
