One of the leading theories for where technology will develop next is the
introduction of A.I (artificial intelligence) due to a higher regard of personalized
experiences with technology
Knowledge Management: is the set of practices aimed at discovering and
harnessing an organizations intellectual resoureces using the capabilities of your
eployees to it’s ost optiu leels.
Collaboration across Boundaries: is the cohesion union between customer
feedback, employee knowledge management (feeling adequately utilized) and
input of all members of team. This is simply the union of ideas from different
backgrounds and schools of thought for the most effective product and/or
resolution.
Organizing: the management function of assembling and coordinating human,
financial, physical, information and other resources needed to achieve goals.
Value: the monetary amount associated with how well a job, task, good, or
serie eets user’s eeds.

- Strategic Value is the continual process of identifying
oppurtunites to create, seize, strengthen and sustain competitive
advantage.
Planning: the management function of systematiicaly making decisions abojut
the goals and activities that an individual, group, work unit, or the overall
organization will pursue.
Management: The process of working with people and resources to accomplish
organizational goals.
Leading: the aageet futio that ioles the aager’s efforts to
stimulate high performance by employees. A new distinction from previous
chapters is mobilizing people to contribute their ideas (knowledge management)
- connecting with people, guiding, inspiring, and directing the team
to achieving team and organization goals
Controlling: the management function of monitoring performance and making
needed changes. This function is to ensure quality, workers safety, resource
management and timelines are being met. Are the actual outcomes matching our
goals? Adjust accordingly.
- A manager must find ways to create value , organize their own
personal effectiveness, mobilize your own talents and skills as well
those of others; monitor performance; and constantly learn,
develop, and change for the future.
Top Level Managers (Strategic Managers): Senior Execuetives responsible for the
overall management and effectiveness of the organization. This is a two way
manager as they are concerned with the overall internal but also external affairs.
Examples of these managers are CEO (large corporations), company presidents,
CIO ad COO’s. Others ilude aagers i the C-Suite which includes ethics,
corporate affairs, human resources and marketing. A likely new type of manager
is a chief sustainability officer or even climate change officer.
Middle-Level Managers (Tactical Manager): the middle ground of an
organizational hierarchy, reporting to top-level managers. These are the
translations of general goals and plans company wide developed through the
