No one was really thinking about the education system. This was because the economy was based on agriculture. Families that worked on farms, children were valuable because they worked on these farms: the idea that children were to leave and go to school was not reasonable. Even if there was a school it was low in attendance. The parents would teach the children what they needed to know on the farm: the closest thing was apprenticeship, i. e. trades. In this time period, people would learn from people i(cid:374) thei(cid:396) (cid:272)o(cid:373)(cid:373)u(cid:374)ities.
