Document Summary
Course description: in this course, we will read films in much the same way as we read other texts. By paying attention to film language (elements including cinematography, editing, mise-en-sc ne, sound, narrative construction, etc. ), we can begin to analyze films as works of art and as cultural and economic products. Throughout, our goal will be to think critically and to write persuasively about a medium we usually take for granted.
