Power is largely concentrated in the downtown core major banks (td center) 1950s to 70s: post war suburban boom this was correct during this time period. Most of these homes were detached homes, no apartment buildings or high rises, semis, town homes, etc. Modern suburbs: nature of suburbs has drastically changed many suburbs have high rises, condos and large apartment buildings. Increasingly suburban homes are not single family, some are multi- generational, friends buying homes together: upper class population.
