Inheritance-how traits get passed on from one generation to another. Mendelian genetics-biological inheritance laws proposed by mendel. Mitosis: results in 2 daughter cells; 2 diploid cells. Meiosis: results in 4 daughter cells containing half the amount of chromosomes of the parent; 4 haploid cells are formed. Molecules-very small particle or substance; smallest unit of a compound or substance. Cells- building blocks of life ; smallest unit of life that is able to replicate by itself. Population-primary unit of evolution; it will be more mainly focused. Communities-ecological unit where groups of many species interact with each other and their environment in a common area. Ecosystems-community that contains all biotic and abiotic factors of their environment. In biology, we are formulating and imposing questions to find answers to. Unlikely to be answered by 1 experiment. Answering more small tractable questions are more imposed and can help contribute towards solving (which feed into) bigger q"s. Different biologists oppose questions in different ways.
