Social order depends upon people coordinating their actions and cooperating to attain common goals. Situational mechanism explains how macro level causes affect individuals, and it looks at external conditions and its relation with internal states and makes assumptions about the actor. Behavioural mechanisms look at how individual states affect their actions, and make assumptions about what motivates people. In other words, how people act given their motives and situations. Transformational mechanism explains how individual action combines to produce macro-level outcomes or group level phenomena; it relies on the idea of aggregation and game theory. How people"s decisions are affected by the behavior of others. It is a course that taken influences and inspirations from a variety of other courses. Woodsworth one is an interdisciplinary course because it draws on concepts from other academic disciplines such as history, psychology, philosophy, economics, political science, and sociology.
