One pattern that is present is that in the western hemisphere a larger portion of the population has access to water in most countries then most countries in the eastern hemisphere. Another pattern that is present is the lack of access to water in central and western africa. Another pattern that appears is that in a majority of north american and european countries almost the entire population has access to water. As well it seems that in central and south america a majority of people in these countries has access to water, but not all. Northern counterpart: one anomaly observed is that in romania only 58% of the population has access to water, while in the immediate surrounding countries at least 90% of the population has access to water. Due to the importance of water countries will do nearly anything to gain access to it.
