In infancy, psychology used introspection having individuals report on their subjective impressions of various forms of stimulation looking within oneself: if they were given 2 different weights and had to choose which was heavier, they"d be asked to introspect when they made the decision in their mind of which was heavier it"s introspection, not consistent with how we do psych today , psychology struggled to get accepted as a science with introspection as its main investigating tool, also, psychology could not be accepted because of its study on consciousness.
