The invention of the adolescent film review (1967) This film focuses on the defense of the young in the 19th century that created a generation gap that is still evident today. Yorkville was a place where youth would hang out, considered a ghetto based on age. Adults would often wonder what they wanted and why they were spending their time there especially considering they had more money and education than ever before. Youth have frequently rebelled, however this one is vastly different and more widespread. For many adults, the years of childhood are only leading up to the apprehensive stage of adolescence. As children stray away from their parents, the parents turn to experts as opposed to trusting their own instincts. In the past, children naturally grew into adults and by adolescence they were not much different from their elders.
