Exchange relationships: inolves a voluntary and binding agreement between parties to perform an action in exchange for compensation/consideration. Consideration: bargaining component benefit conferred or detriment suffered. Duty relationship: involves a person"s obligation to act or refrain from acting in a certain manner towards another according to an appropriate standard of care (as determined by proximity, type of relation, or implied promises). Fiduciary relationship: a trust relationship implied when there is an imbalance in parties engaged in a mutual enterprise. Implies stronger party will act in interests of the weaker. Property relationship: involves a full range of rights/interests in both real property and chattels. Remedies injured party put in position would have been had contract been fulfilled.
