It"s something that needs to be explained: involves interpretation so can be interpreted in various ways. It is not a scientific fact: key concepts must be defined. We all need to be on the same page of what the concept is before we start talking about it, eating it etc: some political science concepts, democracy, justice, citizenship, security, power. Power: understanding power, coercion, inducements, persuasion, 3 faces of power/ forms, distributions of power, authority, legitimacy. Power: achieving an objective by influencing behaviour of others. Getting someone to do something they would not have otherwise done. Influencing them, changing the way they think about something: often involves a relationship, does not exist on its own. Who has power to make who do what: but, depends on the circumstances, there are constraints.
