For one, power is the ability to influence the behavior of others and resist unwanted influence in return (1). There is a direct linkage between power and influence insofar that an individual or an entity can express a certain level of power but their lack of influence reduces the effectiveness of their power. The way that an individual can maximize their influence is through using influence tactics such as rational persuasion, inspirational appeal or collaboration. Moreover, an individual"s power can be categorized into five major forms. These five forms of power include legitimate power, reward power, coercive power, expert power and referent power.
